In the threads below, choose whether you think that a territory such as Tibet should be freed from the mother country that had raised it (China) because of religious beliefs, or should remain part of the mother country. Consider China who believes that Tibet is a territory of itself and should follow the laws that the communist nation enforces. Think about how the United States would react if a section of polygamous Mormons in Utah requested soveriengty (right to govern itself) and succession (breaking away) and would not want to follow national law.
