Voices of Cabrini: Remaking Chicago's Public HousingVoices of Cabrini Debate - ConantAPHUGE2010-
Prompt: In the threads below, choose whether you think that the public housing residents are justified in their argument against tearing down their community, or if the city is in the right. Other things you might want to touch is your response to the conditions of public housing, the city's answer to move residents to the suburbs, or whether you think the residents of Cabrini should have had the first choice of living in the new houses. Make sure that you back up your argument with evidence from the video in no less than an eight sentences response. If you use a vocab word from the book, underline it. If you debate or solidify another person's response in no less than three sentences, you will be awarded a point of extra credit. The video is linked to the picture at left in case you would like to reference back to it.

Post here if you feel that public housing residents are not justified in their argument against tearing down their community. After all, they don't "own' it. (possible opinion)
