Personal Scoring Instructions:
Find your scores below and then apply it to the Multiple Choice Equation (Figure 2). Remember that your Free Response questions have not been figured into the equation, so we don't know whether your essays will harm or help you at this point. Do NOT take the Free Response into consideration at this point. AP is subtracting 1/4th because AP calculates a way to take power away from the kid who chooses guessing to their advantage. Do NOT use the AP Grade Conversion Chart in Figure to determine your AP score, it only works with your three FRQ's calculated in. Instead use
figure 3.Figure 2
Once you have your multiple choice score ONLY figured, compare it to the grid below
(Figure 3) and see what the PROJECED scores were for the kids who received your composite score, and NOT including the essay. This does NOT mean that you will receive this score, all it is, is a guideline to see about where you are currently. Expect to see an improved grade and do not dwell on the practice score. You WILL do better. I promise. But.....do you want to study now?
Figure 3
Note:Please remember that your composite scores are 50% of your total grade. The other 50% is calculated with your three essay question scores (they take the average). One of the essays is slighlty easier than the other two. Three highly qualified individuals grade each one of your essays without any knowledge of your multiple choice scores or your names.
