Instructions: Listen/read/watch the following contemporary news stories from the grid and use one vocabulary words/concepts/or models that we have discussed so far from either ch. 9, 11 or from our notes (there are ones in our notes that are not necessarily in our text-especially the models). In the vocabulary/ Concept/ Model Analysis column, explain why that particular story can relate to whatever topics that you have chosen in FULL and complete sentences. (Minimum of one sentence per box). If your audio does not work for you, share an earbud with a friend. The following wordbank can help you with your ideas, but does NOT need to be pasted onto your homework page. If you want, paste it over, but delete it when your class assignment is done. Some of the concepts we have not gone over in class, but you may already be familiar with them. Feel free to use them or to look them up.
